Crew4Life Foundation, Inc (Crew4Life) Is a group of like-minded African American Men who have known each other for over 30 years, and are committed to community empowerment!

Mission

Statement

The mission of Crew4Life Foundation, Inc. is to energize our next generation of youth through community initiatives which focus on healthy learning and work environments. We will connect positive role models who can promote strong family values and advance community business structures. Self-worth and self-esteem will be encouraged through teaching self-discipline, culture and history. Program development will speak to the intellectual, social, economic and political needs of these young people, equipping and empowering them to become positive, contributing members of their respective communities.

Our Service

About Us

We are current and former civil servants from various agencies (including NYPD, NYC Dept. of Corrections, NYC Dept. of Education, NYC Transit, and NYS Office of Mental Health), as well as local businessmen. We have seen the impact of mass incarceration, sub-standard education, inadequate healthcare and social services upon the black, brown and low-income communities. Individually we have tried to make changes from within our respective professions. However, we believe the transformation needs to occur before our youth end up in the system.

Our goal is to use our collective voices, experiences, and networks to make positive changes within the South-East Queens community. We all have strong ties to the Cambria Heights, Laurelton, St. Albans, Rochdale, and Hollis areas of Queens. We have seen the devastating effects upon our communities and want to inspire change.

Our Programs

Community-based recreational and financial

literacy assistance for senior citizens. The initiative is designed to help seniors stay active, engaged, and informed about their finances. By providing this service, we aim to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens and promote socialization among them.
